Seamer Carr Facility
Wastec have been operating in partnership with Yorwaste at the Seamer Carr landfill site in Scarborough since January 2005. At this plant, Wastec recovers steel, aluminium, glass, rigid plastic for direct recycling. The paper and card is separated and has been pelletised producing a standardised Solid Recovered Fuel pellet (SRF) which is eligible for the ROC premium. The organic material is available to pass through a Composting system owned and operated by Hot Rot.

GEM Ltd have recently been a successful bidder for a DEFRA grant to build a gasification plant at Seamer Carr which will work alongside Wastec to provide an integrated solution to Waste Management on one site.
