Wastec's system has been proven to recover approaching 90% of steel, aluminium, rigid plastic and organic materials and around 70% of glass that is in the waste stream. Paper and card recovery ranges between 30% and 90% depending on what if any further processing of this material is to take place. No changes need to be made to existing recycling schemes; the recovery takes place from what is left in the MSW.

Recovering as much as possible from discarded waste is very important both environmentally and financially (substantial value can be extracted per tonne of waste sorted) but the remaining material can be prepared by Wastec for a variety of other uses. Wastec have a number of models of potential systems, but will tailor make solutions to any situation.
