How it works
The Wastec system effectively sorts refuse on a vast scale. After waste is collected in the usual way, the mixed black bag waste or wheelie bin waste (MSW) arrives at a Wastec plant where it is mechanically sorted. The Wastec system contains two pieces of patented technology: the bag splitter and the Kinetic Streamer®. These technologies have been developed over the last ten years and have been robustly tested.

What makes the Wastec system different is that it recovers recyclable materials whilst maintaining their commercial value, nothing is shredded, which increases the number and types of material that can be recovered. Wastec ensures 100% participation from residents. It turns every bin into a recycling bin.
