Economics
A Wastec system is much less expensive than most other
waste technologies both in capital and running costs.
Operating costs (based in the UK) for processing MSW will
be in the range of £10 per tonne for a 50,000 tpa
plant. A twin streamer system is designed to process 25,000
tpa operating on a single shift but thoroughput can be
doubled with the introduction of a second shift.
