Why do I need to pre-sort material that is going to be gasified or incinerated?
Recovering good quality materials for recycling makes environmental sense; it also is popular with the public. Difficult materials can also be removed prior to gasification or incineration which means less pollutant in the gases and ash produced by these technologies. An homogenous feed-stock also means more efficient burning or gasifying as the material has a steady calorific value and as the material can be dried to the desired level it produces a better quality, drier gas.
